Rosa Bordeaux
The large flowered Rosa Bordeaux may look traditional, but it meets all contemporary demands – such as an excellent vase life of 14 to 15 days. The velvety red flowers are harvested when the buds are just bursting – a little more mature than Passion, but less mature than Grand Prix.  It has a great advantage in that the bud does not continue to open in the cold store and it has tough leaves and stems. The buds open well once the flower reaches its final destination and it retains its magnificent colour throughout its vase life. This is a rose that guarantees long-term enjoyment.

Vriesea Astrid
Vrieseas with branching flowers have been on the market for quite some time. However, Vriesea Astrid takes things just a bit further.

The plant itself also branches. To be exact, the plant forms a rosette of three to six shoots with the same number of flowers. This has never been seen before in Vriesea. The effect is of a looser, less formal plant. The leaves curl back delicately and the flower spikes have a soft red colour. Development is ongoing to produce more colours. The plant lasts well – at least four months.
